Watch Jamie Barber bring steel to glow, Christie McPhee as she shows the fascinating art of glassblowing and Andrea Dupius dipping candles made of 100% pure beeswax.Starting Saturday, the Silverton Gallery will be open with local Kootenay Artisans selling a variety of handmade quality gifts. Take the opportunity to buy beautiful quality hand-crafts and tasty appetizing traditional European food and drinks. Peter Vogelaar and David Ducharme (World Olympic Champion winners of the Quebec International Sand Sculpture) will once again enthral on-lookers with their magnificent ice sculptures and their beautifully illuminated ice slide - a resounding success with all the younger visitors. While delighting in the enchanting atmosphere of this Old World Christmas Village, you can take pleasure in the wide range of live entertainment that will include choice choirs singing Christmas carols. The German Singing Group from Nelson (choir) will sing traditional German Christmas carols and the Voices of the Lake Choir from Slocan. Our entertainment this year includes cello music from The Celli Berries as well as music from Leah Main, Micheal Dorsey & Guests. On Sunday DJ & Friends will be playing music and a group of younger local musicians from Valhalla Fine Arts Society will perform inside the Silverton Gallery.
