We had family visiting from Nova Scotia and we were looking for something to do....boy did we luck out! Christmas by the Lake was a very special event! We found it was magical, and everyone was so friendly. Keep up the good work!
I'd like to have seen more advertising around Nelson. I'd recommend placing a poster at the Kootenay Kids Place.
What a magical event.
The elves had set up hte village; they even decorated the booths. They were around to help all weekend to fulfill every singl wish in no-time. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
The snow arrived - again - just in time, and yes it was cold. There was endless diverse entertainment for young and old, excellent food and of course very tasty mulled wine.
We had a blast, we truely enjoy the warm atmosphere of the village and thank especially the organizers and all other involved helping hands for their work to make this wonderful & successful weekend happen.

I had a wonderful time attending "Christmas By The Lake" this year! Silverton & New Denver are fast becoming a home away from home for me.
Some of my favorite attractions in this festive event are the carved ice slide and lanterns, the maple syrup on a stick makers, the choral and instrumental accompaniment, and the chainsaw sculptor.
Thanks everyone for the great participation in this fast growing event!
And, thanks Armand for such thorough organization. Great website!
We had such a wonderful time at the Christmas market in Silverton with its garlanded lights and fragrant aromas of a traditional Christmas market in Europe, fresh spruce, steaming mulled wine, sweet candy, spicy sausages and roasted chestnuts.
Canopied stand offered ornaments, artifacts, toys, jewellery, food & drinks.
We loved the ice slide for children, just incredible.
Gorgeous - there's just no other way to describe it and we will pass on the good news to any friends coming to Western Canada in December.

We were very impressed again
about the beautiful, interesting Christmas Market.
Much more people should come
to Silverton and enjoy this
unusual attraction with life actions of music, toboggan run, choir, wood carving, blacksmith
and much much more ...
