Christmas by the Lake

Christmas by the Lake, a traditional European Christmas market, will be in held Dec. 2 to 4 in Silverton. Local musicians performing throughout the event, like Matthew Fry’s Fun Choir, Slocan Valley Community Band, Leah Main & Michael Dorsey and Slocan Arrow Community Ensemble, and over 30 artisans will be selling a variety of homemade crafts and foods. Santa, the Grinch and the Gingerbread Man will be out, and there will be kids crafts on Saturday. And on Saturday, Dec. 3 take the Christmas by the Lake shuttle. It leaves Nelson at 11 a.m., stopping in Playmor Junction, Slocan Park, Passmore, Winlaw and Slocan City. The shuttle leaves Silverton at 5 p.m. For more info, check out christmasbythelake.ca.
